Please note: MasterStudio version 2.x was a paid upgrade and requires a new registration code.
-
Addition of the
MoContext.$classBroker().$binarySearch method. This method perfoms faster searches in sorted lists when the TMObjs external is installed. This external is available freely from Arts Management Systems.
-
Faster execution of the
MoClass function in large applications.
-
New icons for the OK and Cancel buttons, based on human usability research by Jean-Marc Azerad (do not use "red" for Cancel, as it may be a safe operation. Also, do not use an "x" for Cancel, as in some cultures it is associated with an acknowledgement). Note: If you want to keep using the old icons, you can override
$iconMsButtonCancel and $iconMsButtonOk of the theme manager. The old icons are still present with ids 39503 and 39504.
-
Tested with Omnis Studio 5.1. Updated logo colors to better match new TigerLogic Omnis color scheme.
|
-
Disabled automatic repetition of SQL statements when using PostgreSQL: Not performing a second
$prepare sometimes caused Omnis to crash.
-
Correction of the German flag in the demo application menu.
-
Palettes will correctly re-focus the associated window whenever opened or clicked, so that keyboard and other events apply to the main window rather than to the palette.

To upgrade your libraries for use with MasterStudio 2.0.1, please perform the following steps. If you are upgrading from a version prior to 2.0.0, make sure that you first follow the upgrade instructions for version 2.0.
-
MasterStudio 2.0 is supported with Omnis Studio 4.3.x (non-Unicode), 5.0.1 or 5.1. (MasterStudio 1.1.x is still supported for Omnis Studio 4.1-4.3.2)
-
Install main library classes:
Copy the latest versions of MoContextRoot and MoClassBroker as well as the #STYLES system table into your main library. This is most easily accomplished by copying the MasterStudio Classes folder from the Demo Library.
-
Replace framework libraries:
Replace your old MasterStudio folder by the new MasterStudio folder.
-
Note: When you first open the demo database with Omnis Studio 5.x, you will be prompted to convert the data file. We recommend that you perform a "Full" conversion.
